Development of the research environment for carbon reinforced concrete

The market and its requirement profile for carbon reinforced concrete construction is very heterogeneous. This is one of the reasons why the research and development services of the research environment on the subject of carbon reinforced concrete construction are focused on the different thematic priorities. We have therefore approached scientific institutions in a targeted manner and have been able to find out that in view of such complexity, various specialist areas are intensively pursuing their research activities both interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary, not only in the areas of carbon, textile and reinforced concrete construction. It is essential that the institutions from the economy as well as from the national and international practice work together. The local and regional location of the building industry is the reason for the high proportion of national partnerships (Figure 1).

It becomes clear that technological questions and topics concerning ecology and economy are important for the work related to carbon reinforced concrete construction.Questions concerning law, social issues and politics, on the other hand, are (still) being dealt with in a particular way (Figure 2).

The scientific institutions are largely agreed that the success of the carbon reinforced concrete construction method in practice will be achieved in the medium to long term (Figure 2). In order for the Federal Republic of Germany to continue to establish itself as a pioneer in the field of carbon reinforced concrete and to manage future research priorities, cross-sectoral cooperation is and will remain necessary. This is one of the reasons why the C³ Consortium has an interdisciplinary and intradisciplinary structure.
